Target, one of the largest retailers in America, has recently released t-shirts in support of National Pride Month. These fun and colourful t-shirts come in an array of graphics which are perfect for summer and support a great cause. The proceeds from May 30 – June 30 go directly to the Family Equality Council which advocates for same-sex couples along with their families.
Graphic T’s have been hot items when expressing yourself through clothing. It’s amazing when you think that your clothes/ a single t-shirt can communicate a message to the world without even saying a word!
The t-shirts which read “Harmony”, “Love is Love” and “Pride” have been causing quite the controversy amoung conservative groups in the United States.
“Anytime a retailer gets away from doing what they should be doing by being involved in a social cause (they) lose…” states retail analyst Britt Beemer.
With various opinions about these t-shirts, it’s great that Target has decided to support a cause more people should be aware of.
